The field operations engineer assigns each inspector a patrol segment and the wellsites, valve sites and launcher/receiver on it. Every asset type has its own form; the JSA and the permit to work are filled before anyone leaves the yard.
GPS records the patrol trail
The inspector drives the lease road and walks the crossings. GPS records the route and recognizes arrival and departure at each site — with no signal. That trail is the proof of patrol.
Inspection form filled on the phone
Gauge pressure, CP test-station potential, valve position, leak check, coating and vegetation, third-party activity. Photos carry coordinates and time and stay on that valve site's record.
Exposed pipe after a washout
Logged as an anomaly with photos, coordinates and priority. The integrity engineer sees it on the map when the phone reconnects and opens a work order for the dig crew — with the exact point, not a mile marker.
Hours logged, patrol report approved
Hours per person per site go to the timesheet. The patrol report goes out as PDF with trail, forms and photos, reviewed and approved by the engineer before it counts — ready for the IMP file and the operator's invoice.
