Is Geodocs for you?

Not every operation needs a map. This page exists so you can decide in five minutes, without a sales call: who the platform was built for, what it does, what it does not do, and how long it takes to start.

It makes sense if

  • Your team's work happens at real addresses: job sites, plants, networks, properties, monitoring points, dig sites.
  • You have to prove to a client, an auditor or a regulator what was done, where, when and by whom.
  • Part of the team works where cell coverage fails.
  • Today the information lives in a spreadsheet, a WhatsApp group and a cloud folder, and nobody has the whole picture.
  • You manage projects end to end, with deadlines, owners, budget and approval, even if the team is not in the field every day.
  • You want to see on a map what is spread across lists today: where every project, asset or client is, and how each one is doing.
  • You have between 3 and 50 people in the operation. Above that there is an Enterprise plan.

It does not make sense if

  • Everyone works in the office and nothing you manage has a place on a map.
  • You are looking for an ERP, accounting, payroll or invoicing.
  • You need fleet routing, vehicle telematics or SCADA.
  • You want a generic task manager for a product or marketing team.

What it does and what it does not

Said calmly, so you do not find out in week three.

Map and layers

Does

  • Every project is a folder with its area drawn on the map. The map shows only what belongs to the open folder.
  • Shapefile (.zip), KML, KMZ and GeoJSON come in as layers. WMS and WMTS services come in by URL.
  • The same layer in the office and on the phone, offline included. A public link per layer for people without an account.

Does not

  • Importing a standalone GeoTIFF, DWG or DXF as a layer.

Field and phone

Does

  • Field data collection: forms, photos, hours and expenses filled without signal and synced when it returns, keeping the time they were filled.
  • Photos with coordinates, date, time and author written into the file. GPS presence with arrival and departure time at each project, with consent.
  • Draw an area by walking its perimeter with GPS. Voice dictation into fields.

Does not

  • Routing, turn-by-turn navigation or route optimization.
  • Vehicle telematics, sensors or any automatic equipment reading.

Management and reports

Does

  • Work orders and tasks with assignee, deadline, priority and status. Review and approval before something counts as done.
  • Budget per expense category at every level of the hierarchy (contract, region, site), consolidated upwards, with spend and balance in real time and an alert when the burn hits the percentage you set. PDF reports generated from what was already recorded.
  • Jos.IA sets up the workspace in your terminology in 90 seconds and answers questions about projects, hours and expenses.

Does not

  • Accounting, payroll, invoicing or bank reconciliation.

Access and integrations

Does

  • Access profiles per folder, Google Drive style: the subcontractor or the client sees their site and nothing above it.
  • Read API with scoped tokens, signed webhooks on 13 events and a published n8n node. Zapier and Make plug into the same webhooks.
  • Daily or weekly e-mail digests of pending approvals and of field presence.

Does not

  • Writes through the public API. It is read-only today; the app, the web and Jos.IA do the writing.
  • Off-the-shelf ERP or accounting connectors. Today the path is n8n, Zapier or Make; when the volume justifies it, we build the integration to order.

How long it takes to start

There is no implementation project. There is an account.

    You create the account with e-mail, Google or Apple. No card.

  2. Minute 2

    Jos.IA asks what you call your projects, tasks and teams, and builds templates, fields and profiles with your names.

  3. Day 1

    The team installs the app, opens the first task and fills the first form in the field.

  4. Day 14

    End of the trial with full Pro access. If you saw no value, the workspace goes read-only and nothing is deleted.

If you would rather start with company, Pro has priority support and Enterprise has assisted rollout. Either way, Geodocs is what adapts: templates, fields, names and profiles follow your process, not the other way round. The project spreadsheet you already have goes in through Jos.IA right away; migrating from an old system is something we do together, as a service. Nobody has to wait for a meeting to see their own project on the map.

What people ask before subscribing

Who owns the data?
You do. The data lives in your workspace, exportable at any time, and nothing is deleted when you cancel: the workspace goes read-only.
Do I need IT to roll it out?
No. Setup is a conversation with Jos.IA, and the app is installed from the store. SSO and user provisioning exist for those who have IT and want to use it.
Can I start with a single project?
That is the recommended way. Pick one real site, plant or route, put its crew on the app and compare with the week before.
What about subcontractors or clients?
They get an access profile limited to their folder. They see the tasks, photos and reports of that project and not the rest of the company, nor the labour cost if you prefer.
Where is the data and how is it protected?
AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS in transit, ISO 27001 infrastructure and SOC 2 providers, LGPD and GDPR compliance. The details are on the security page. Security page
What if the team does not use it?
If by day 14 the team is not using it, we extend the trial until they are. There is no point charging for a tool nobody opened.
Do you adapt Geodocs to our process?
Yes, and it is the normal path. Jos.IA builds templates, fields and profiles with your company's own names, and on Pro and Enterprise we adjust the rest together: approval flow, reports, custom integrations. The learning curve drops because the team finds the words it already uses.
Do you help migrate data from our current system?
Yes. A spreadsheet of projects, assets or clients goes in through Jos.IA right away, no help needed. Leaving an old system, with history, photos and several files, is an assisted migration sold as a service: we clean, map and import together with you, on request on Pro and included on Enterprise.
