GIS layers
The topographic survey and the electrical drawing on the same screen as the tasks.
Upload geospatial files and they become layers over the project map, with their own style and name. System-generated layers, such as presence routes and inspection points, sit alongside yours. One layer can be connected to several projects.

What comes in and how
Shapefile as a .zip with .shp, .shx, .dbf and, when present, .prj. KML and KMZ with the folder tree, icons and ground overlays. GeoJSON. Without a .prj the system assumes WGS84. WMS and WMTS services come in by URL: Geodocs reads the GetCapabilities, lists the service's layers and draws them over the map. No plugin, no license, no GIS specialist on the team.
- Uploading inside a folder links the layer to that project; uploading at the root makes it workspace-wide
- Files that are not layers, such as PDFs and spreadsheets, are kept as project attachments instead of failing
- Standalone GeoTIFF, DWG and DXF do not come in as layers
The layer and the work in one place
The layer does not live in a separate viewer. It sits behind the project areas, the task points and the people's routes, at the folder level you are in. The technician turns on the same layer on the phone and, with tiles downloaded, sees the network register or the property boundary with no signal.
- An area drawn in the field, even by walking the perimeter with GPS, shows up in the office without re-importing
- Toggle per project, with the style and name you gave it
- One layer shared by several projects, without duplicating the file
- Satellite, standard or dark basemap underneath, on web and on the map inside the PDF report
Who sees what
The layer follows the folder's access profile: whoever cannot see the project cannot see its layer. To show the map to someone outside the workspace, the public link per layer opens only that layer, no account needed. On Enterprise, public sharing is also served as WMS for other systems to consume.
